Title: The Replacements Sorry Ma, Forgot To Take Out The Trash

Year/Genre: 1981, Punk Rock

Matrix #: R1 773762 Condition: New

Description:
Released in 1981 on Twin/Tone, Sorry Ma, Forgot To Take Out The Trash was the Minneapolis bands debut and a raw statement of intent. Emerging from the Midwest punk scene, The Replacements blended breakneck tempos with Paul Westerbergs sharp, often self-deprecating lyrics, setting them apart from coastal punk contemporaries. The record captured the energy of a scene anchored by independent labels and DIY touring networks, where bands were building communities outside the mainstream industry. For music lovers, it documents both the scrappy beginnings of a group that would later reshape alternative rock and the spirit of regional punk in Reagan-era America.
