Description

La Cuota b/w Darling is the lead-off single for El Combo Batanga’s second full-length album and debut with Ubiquity Records. La Cuota on the A-side kicks the doors down with it’s undeniable energy and harkens back to the funkier moments in Fania’s catalog with Ray Barretto. Darling on the B-side is an intense slow burn, a captivating Latin sweet soul ballad bursting with emotion and longing. El Combo Batanga is a musical explosion at the intersection of Afro-Cuban rhythms and Latin funk. A group of powerful musicians who blend son, timba, Latin soul, and boogaloo for people to enjoy.
